The Blevins Farm
3421 Lowry Road
Columbia, VA 23038-2111
All ceremony & reception festivities will be held outside on Saturday, October 12th at 3421 Lowry Road Columbia, Virginia, the home of Alan & Debbie Blevins (the bride’s aunt and uncle). Although this 28-acre property is not really a "working" farm, it does have a cow, a horse, a ton of chickens and other living things to keep them busy and entertained on a daily basis.
The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm along the entrance to the property and will be officiated by Shane & Wendy Goins (the bride’s brother and sister-in-law). The reception will take place behind the house immediately following the ceremony.
Both the ceremony & reception will be fairly casual - so if you're worried about what to wear... jeans are fine! Just be sure to have on or bring something comfortable and warm as we'll be out in the grass the whole time and it might get a little chilly.
There will also be plenty of food, drinks and entertainment at the reception. The men folk will be roasting a pig and some chicken - but we should have something yummy for everyone. As for entertainment - we’ll have horseshoes, corn hole and bocce ball - as well as some bubbles and other fun stuff for the kids.
**Per the groom’s Uncle Phillip - "The weather is expected to be mild, but cooler in the evening. Any ladies planning to attend should probably bring a light sweater."
**Per the Weather Underground - "The weather is expected to be relatively warm with an historical high of 73°F and low of 54°F with less than 1" of precipitation."
